With all cosmetic injectable treatments you may notice lots of small bumps at the injection sites. These small bumps are normal and can last anywhere from 1 hour to 48 hours; longer if you have a visible bruise, before dispersing under the skin. Bruising is the most common side effect and usually shows immediately, it can last 3- 5 days. There can be some mild swelling and tenderness but no recovery time is needed, you can return to your normal activities immediately.
During your consultation you will be given information about the treatment, aftercare and will be asked to sign a consent form to confirm that you do not have any contra-indications to treatments. The main contra-indications to injectable treatments will be; if you are pregnant/breast feeding, if you have an allergy to the medication, if you have an active infection at the infection site or any blood clotting disorders. As a senior nurse practitioner I will help you to make an informed decision
You will be given written information about aftercare to take home with you following your treatment.
Injections using Aqualyx- a DE approved product that breaks down fat molecules which are excreted by the body through the kidneys. Works best in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise. 4-6 treatments usually required to see full effect. Not recommended in diabetic patients.

Using high quality products only- dermal fillers can last anywhere from 6- 18 months making them a great medium-term alternative to cosmetic surgery. Dermal filler can be reversed if you are not happy with the appearance too.
Fillers starting from 0.5ml to 1ml, for subtle to more exaggerated looks.
Product and price to be discussed during consultation. i will never upsell products to you, your desired look is my main goal
Non-surgical 'nose-job'- dermal filler can be used to straighten out lumps and bumps to give the appearance of a straighter nose- examples of excellent results available on my pictures section/instagram profile.
Any dermal filler can be dissolved if you are not happy with a dermal filler treatment. A consultation is always advised prior to this treatment. Particularly if your treatment was done with a different practitioner.
Using high quality products only- Skin booster injections use bio-stimulating, injectable Hyaluronic Acid (HA) to improve hydration within the skin and stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin. As we age, we lose approximately 1% of our hyaluronic acid stores per year after the age of 30, thus resulting in fine lines and loss of facial volume. Initially two to three treatments of a skin booster, such as Seventy Hyal 2000, 4 weeks apart will be required to achieve the desired result.
To save money you may wish to buy a course as per the recommended dosages
Best value for treatments
Alcohol can thin the blood and increase the possibility of bruising
Avoid medications such as Aspirin and ibuprofen for 1 week prior to treatment where possible, if you are on a regular blood thinner for health reasons it is best to disclose this prior to treatment.
Ideally for 1 week prior to treatment and afterwards to minimise risk of the product displacing
This is to minimise the risk of infection following small injection points.
It is NOT recommended that you massage the area following botox to avoid displacing the botox. You can massage the area gently following skin booster treatment only. Only do this with clean hands and gently massage to avoid bruising.
